Girls in Trouble: Songs about the Complicated Lives of Biblical Women

Daniel Pearl World Music Days Concert:
Alicia Jo Rabins, composer, singer, violinist, poet, writer, and Torah, teacher performs from Portland, Oregon, her indie-folk song cycle “Girls in Trouble”
“Girls in Trouble” is an indie-folk/art-pop song cycle by musician/violinist, poet, and Torah teacher, Alicia Jo Rabins. Creating musical midrashim, Rabins explores the hidden places where biblical women’s lives overlap with her own, bringing a world of ancient stories to life through art, text, and personal reflection. The Daniel Pearl World Music Days celebrates the life and legacy of slain Wall Street Journal reporter and talented violinist, Daniel Pearl, who firmly believed that music can further cross-cultural understanding.Register for event HERE
