Since Adam Sandler’s Chanukah song, everybody knows that “All Three Stooges” were Jewish. But did you know that the Three Stooges (the Howard family and Larry Fine) got their start in the Yiddish theater and vaudeville? Dr. Faye Ringel, author of an article in the scholarly collection Stoogeology will talk about the Jewish traditions of physical comedy, slapstick, and (soitenly!) The Three Stooges—with maybe a few video clips, too.
