Anti-Semitism in the U.S.: History and What We Face Now

Temple Bnai Israel will host a virtual seminar on “The History of Anti-Semitism in the United States.”

Presenters:

• Dr. Avinoam Patt, Chair of Judaic Studies and Director of the Center for Judaic Studies and Contemporary Jewish Life at UConn, who will focus on antisemitism in the late-19th/early-20th centuries and on what is happening currently.
• Dr. Susan Herbst, Professor of Political Science and President Emeritus of UConn, who will focus on the 1930s/40s and American responses to Nazism and the Holocaust.

This seminar is being sponsored by the Hochberg Committee on Human Rights and Holocaust Education.
